Guidelines for contributions to Dyslexia Online Magazine and Dyslexia Online Journal

Contributions to our Magazine and Journal are always welcome.

Dyslexia Online Magazine

Dyslexia Online Journal

Articles published in both Dyslexia Online Magazine and Dyslexia Online Journal will always be featured in the World of Dyslexia Newsletter.

In general, you can see the sort of length that people write to in other articles for Dyslexia Online Magazine. Length is not important, but there is a limit to how much people can take in.

Articles for the Dyslexia Online Journal should not exceed 3,000 words (including a short bibliography if you decide to include one). Please include a short personal biography like the one at the bottom of the page here. Articles submitted for publication will be reviewed by a World of Dyslexia staff member and you will hear from us within two or three weeks. Articles may be written in formal academic style, but we prefer it if the style can be more accessible for non-academic readers.

If you would like to receive feedback from readers, you may put your email address by your name. But be aware that this can sometimes result in your receiving unsolicited mail. It is possible to get round this by creating another email address - for example at www.hotmail.com - which you keep purely for feedback. It's a bit of a roundabout method, but it means that, if you start receiving 'spam' at this new email address, it will not be bothering you at your normal email address.

Please do not send your article in the form of a file attachment to an email. We never open file attachments due to the danger of a person unwittingly sending us a computer virus. Copy and paste your article into the body of an email. If there should be essential charts or illustrations, please contact us for further information about how to send them.

Please be sure to include full contact details when submitting an article, as well as a copy in the email of any previous correspondence with us.

We regret that we do not have the financial resources to be able to make payments for articles published.

Meanwhile, get writing and see yourself in print!
